There are many instances when concrete cutting tools are needed in construction. Just look around you and I can bet that there is at least one concrete slab in the general vicinity. Deciding when to use wet or dry concrete cutting tools comes down to the job. Concrete cutting tools that squirt water should be used for the jobs that have a lot of dust. A wet blade is distinguished by the lack of segmented welds. A wet blade will more commonly be found on walk behind concrete cutting tools. A wet blade should be used for deep cutting.
Dry concrete cutting tools are generally used when inside or when cutting designs into a slab of concrete. They have low horsepower, come in handheld form, have segment welds and are designed for intermittent cutting. A wet blade will warp and cut sloppy if water is not used. Always exercise caution when using concrete cutting tools. A diamond saw blade is your best bet for a quality cut. Be aware that there are many types of diamond blades priced differently so pick one that is right for the job.
